“Mês J” initiative was officially presented, marking the launch of a programme dedicated to empowering young people in Guimarães.
Mês J stands out as a central initiative within the Municipality of Guimarães’ youth strategy, promoting participation, capacity-building, and the active involvement of young people in shaping the city’s future. With a diverse programme covering areas such as associativism, training, inclusion, and entrepreneurship, it highlights the dynamism of the local youth ecosystem.
In this context, Set.Up Guimarães plays a relevant role as an active partner, contributing to the strengthening of entrepreneurship education. Through initiatives aimed at younger audiences, it fosters the development of key skills such as critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.
As part of this programme, Set.Up Guimarães will take part in the FUTURO@GUIMARÃES – Formar, Inspirar e Empregar Fair, delivering two practical sessions: “Boost your CV and LinkedIn” and “Personal Branding”, focused on enhancing young people’s positioning in the job market.
In parallel, it is also involved in a set of initiatives under the Collaborative Laboratories, namely the Youth Entrepreneurship Workshop “Ideas that Transform”, which promotes contact with real-life examples and the development of entrepreneurial skills; the Professional Immersion – Open Day in companies, providing direct exposure to business environments and career opportunities; and the “Hack the Future Guimarães” Hackathon, an intensive experience focused on ideation, solution development, and training in business models and pitching.
By bringing young people closer to real contexts of employability, innovation, and value creation, Set.Up Guimarães contributes to shaping a more prepared and future-oriented generation, in line with the goals of Mês J and the Municipality.
