Brazilian FIRJAN Delegation Visits Avepark to Discover Guimarães’ Innovation Ecosystem
Avepark, the Science and Technology Park of Guimarães, welcomed this week a delegation from FIRJAN (Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro), composed of around 40 participants, including executive directors and heads of innovation from associated companies.
The visit was part of FIRJAN’s immersion programme into the innovation ecosystem of Northern Portugal, with a particular focus on innovation management in the context of digital transformation. The initiative was promoted by DTx COLAB – Collaborative Laboratory for Digital Transformation, an organisation based at Avepark that plays a key role in driving collaborative innovation projects between academia and industry.
During their time at Avepark, the Brazilian representatives had the opportunity to explore the projects, infrastructures and synergies that make this park a reference hub for technological innovation, fostering strong connections between companies, universities and research centres.
The Economic Development Division of the Municipality of Guimarães took the stage with a presentation on the role of Set.Up Guimarães in the region’s development strategy, highlighting the importance of collaboration among the various players in the local ecosystem.
This initiative reinforces Avepark’s position as a privileged gateway for international collaboration, connecting the innovation developed in Guimarães with a global context and encouraging knowledge exchange across continents.
