The second edition of Techstars Startup Week Guimarães began yesterday, October 13, at the José de Guimarães International Arts Center (CIAJG), launching five days of activities dedicated to entrepreneurship and innovation. The event brings together entrepreneurs, investors, students, and professionals from the tech ecosystem, featuring thematic sessions, debates, and networking opportunities that encourage knowledge sharing and real-world experiences.
The opening included a roundtable on “How can innovation break through a region’s walls and boost economic and cultural development?”, moderated by António Paraíso and featuring chef António Loureiro, Joana and Inês Carneiro (MariAida Home), and José Carlos Pereira, sales expert and author of Chegar e Vender. The program also includes sessions on topics such as Founders Journey, AI & Industry, and Team & Culture, along with success stories from founders of national and international companies.
The initiative is part of the Month of Economy, which throughout October promotes events and activities to foster innovation, collaboration, and economic development in Guimarães. Taking place at the CIAJG, Techstars Startup Week stands out as a central moment in this program, bringing together local and international talent and strengthening the city’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
