FAMEL launches crowdfunding campaign alongside its presence at the Web Summit

After the great reception and interest shown by the departure of the reborn FAMEL from the garage, for its participation in the event of the Hybrid and Electric Motor Show, at Alfândega do Porto, the iconic Portuguese motorbike brand will now mark its presence at the Web Summit in Lisbon .

Incubated at Avepark, on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of October, FAMEL marked its presence at the 5th edition of the Hybrid and Electric Motor Show, in Porto, taking the prototype of the new E-XF from the garage for all to see. . Joel Sousa, automotive engineer and re-founder of the iconic 100% Portuguese motorcycle brand, does not hide his satisfaction. “We had good expectations about our participation in SAHE, but the reception and all the buzz we had around our E-XF surpassed what we had imagined”, confesses Joel Sousa.

Over the weekend, the stand of the reborn FAMEL generated a lot of curiosity and interest on the part of visitors, having been a meeting point for sharing the stories of those who had, or still have, the late XF-17. “It was great to have so many people coming together around our new FAMEL. We witness a mix between the nostalgia of seeing the brand return, and the smiles of those who already imagined themselves on the new motorcycle, riding along the road”, recalls Joel Sousa.

After the success that the return of FAMEL had in Cidade Invicta, the team goes down to Lisbon to participate in the Web Summit, which will start on the 1st of November. Joel Sousa says that the presence at the Web Summit has several purposes, the most important of which is “to take advantage of the enthusiasm already shown by the Portuguese in returning this icon to our roads, to now present the project at an international level to obtain investments from foreign enthusiasts” . During the first 3 days of the event, the brand will be focused on promoting this rebirth of FAMEL, and on the 4th, Joel Sousa indicates that they will have a stand where people will be invited to talk and exchange ideas about the project, and to get to know the team.

In addition to participating in the Web Summit, FAMEL will promote 3 events of its own so that all enthusiasts of bringing this brand back can be present at the official launch of the crowdfunding campaign. “On October 31st, we will have a pre-launch event for this campaign”, recalls Joel Sousa. “On November 1st we also intend to promote two events: a crowdfunding event with the opening of our website, to mark the official relaunch of the brand and, at the end of that day, a commemorative event to celebrate this return, together with the Portuguese who have been supporting this project in the most diverse ways”. Access to this event will be promoted through the Brand’s social networks.
