On March 18 and 19, the Associação Empresarial de Portugal (AEP) will host a training course focused on the “Challenges and Best Practices in the Private and Public Sectors” regarding registration on the MENAC – National Anti-Corruption Mechanism Platform. The goal is to support businesses and public and private entities that have yet to fulfill their obligation to register and upload the required documents under the General Corruption Prevention Regime (RGPC).
The course is also aimed at companies that have already met the requirement but wish to improve the quality and compliance of their documents.
Following the February 14 deadline for the mandatory registration of documents on the MENAC RGPC Platform, entities with 50 or more employees must ensure they have met all requirements, including submitting their corruption risk prevention plan, code of conduct, integrity training program, and designation of the compliance officer responsible for anti-corruption measures.
Although the deadline has passed, entities that have previously sent their documentation via mail or email must now upload updated versions to the platform. Non-compliance with the RGPC obligations may result in heavy fines, as stipulated in the sanctioning regime.
The AEP course has been highly sought after in previous editions, with registrations quickly reaching full capacity. It represents an important opportunity for entities that have yet to fulfill their obligations or wish to enhance their corruption prevention practices.
Interested businesses and entities should register on the official AEP website.
