The “Vouchers for Startups – New Green and Digital Products” program has opened a new phase of applications, which will run from March 17th to April 14th.
The major change in this edition is the removal of the mandatory green component criterion, making the support more inclusive and accessible to a larger number of startups.
The program’s objective remains the same: to foster the development of new digital products and services, driving innovation and competitiveness within the Portuguese entrepreneurial ecosystem. Applications will be assessed based on the viability and impact of the proposed projects, ensuring that the funds are allocated to initiatives with genuine growth potential. All approved projects must be completed by December 31st, 2025.
This initiative is co-financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and the European Union.
Simplified Support and Payments
For startups whose applications are accepted, the funding model remains simplified, with three payment stages. The first advance, amounting to €5,000, is granted upon signing the Acceptance Term. The second payment, amounting to €20,000, occurs 30 days after the first advance. The final payment, of €5,000, will be made after the submission of the final payment request, which must be submitted within 90 days of the project’s completion.
This program represents a strategic opportunity for startups seeking funding to develop innovative solutions. With the removal of the green criterion, the pool of potential beneficiaries has expanded, allowing more businesses to grow and consolidate in the market.
