IPCA promotes support for companies in accessing environmental incentives and tax benefits. Registrations open until March 20th

The Research Centre for Accounting and Taxation at the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave (IPCA) has launched a new initiative aimed at companies, with the goal of facilitating access to tax incentives in the environmental area. Registrations are open until March 20, 2025.

The project, titled “Dealing with Climate Change through Environmental Taxation Initiatives,” offers specialized training and support, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The program, which will run from March to November 2025, includes a series of interventions such as surveys, webinars, and online training. Participating companies will have access to exclusive content on environmental tax benefits, as well as a Practical Guide on the topic and an official certificate of participation from the CICF-IPCA.

The project will be divided into five stages:

  • Initial survey of participating SMEs (May) – to assess companies’ knowledge of environmental taxation.
  • Webinar presenting the survey results (June) – to promote learning and create networking groups.
  • Second online survey (July) – to evaluate the project’s impact.
  • Webinar on tax benefits for companies (September) – to discuss the results of the second survey and delve into topics of greater interest to companies.
  • Action Plan – Online training (November) – specialized training tailored to the needs identified in the second webinar.
