A renewed, more innovative and longer-lasting INOV Contacto program (from six to nine months of internship) opened on September 5th, applications for the 105 international internships available in its 27th edition. Registration open until September 27th.
Young graduates or integrated masters, aged up to 29 years and proficient in the English language, can apply and companies or international organizations that wish to welcome these young people can apply by accessing the website inovcontacto.pt.
The international internship program, an initiative by AICEP, the Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade of Portugal, which promotes internationalization and international investment skills in young people, this year increases the internship period from six to nine months. In this edition, INOV Contacto will also benefit from the contribution of the National Agency for Innovation (ANI), namely in identifying new profiles sought after by companies, particularly in technological and Big Science areas.
“We are certain that this is a model that meets the increasingly competitive environment of the job market, with a strengthened focus on the domains of innovation, thus raising the level of preparation of the young people who will attend the program, benefiting the competitiveness of Portuguese companies in foreign markets,” says the President of AICEP.
For Ricardo Arroja, the INOV Contacto program is an example of the focus on the competitiveness of Portuguese companies and support for their international expansion efforts, as “through the additional qualification of young professionals, we are also enhancing the competitiveness of companies, strengthening the internationalization of our economy, as well as the image of Portugal in the world.”
The INOV Contacto program offers a career-starting opportunity for young Portuguese people in an international environment, enriching their professional journey with skills related to the functioning of foreign markets, large companies, and international organizations.
The internships take place in leading companies and institutions across five continents, where the selected candidates will have the opportunity to participate in new projects, collaborate with international teams, and expand their networking, developing both professional and relational skills.
The program aims to develop participants’ technical skills in internationalization and their ability to adapt to new environments and cultures, enhancing their employability potential and equipping the job market with human capital prepared to help companies expand their international businesses.
The international internship program promoted by AICEP has three decades of proven success, evidenced by the achievement of several awards and distinctions, and has already trained more than 6,000 young professionals. Its success is also recognized by its high employability rate, satisfaction of interns and companies, and the appropriateness, structure, performance, contribution, and skill enhancement during the internship, which stands at 95%.
In this 27th edition, we also highlight the extended internship duration, which has been increased from 6 to 9 months, and the partnership with ANI in identifying new profiles in areas sought by companies, particularly in the fields of technology and Big Science.
