Applications are now open for the Blue Economy Specialization and Leadership Program (PLEA), which aims to train companies for the blue economy and sustainable development.
This is the ninth edition of this Blue Economy Skills Center initiative, which will take place between the 19th and 22nd of November.
The blue economy focuses on the sustainable and regenerative development of activities in aquatic environments (ocean, seas, rivers and lakes). Includes traditional and emerging economic activities, such as maritime and river transport; ports and logistics; coastal tourism; recreational boating; the maritime industry; renewable energy in the ocean; blue biotechnology; among many others
Each of these activities faces challenges associated with decarbonization, digitalization and circularity, while simultaneously offering vast opportunities for innovation, entrepreneurship, investment and professional career development.
PLEA’s main objective is to enhance the economic, social and environmental use of the ocean and aquatic resources, in a sustainable and regenerative way, through training people with fundamental knowledge and tools.
